Price Quotation Step
From January 3, 2018, new rules regarding quotation steps have been introduced on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Orders must be placed in accordance with the specified quotation accuracy; otherwise, the order will be rejected by the exchange system.
Stocks
Stocks are divided into groups with different quotation steps. Based on several factors, including the stock price and liquidity of the company, the Average Daily Number of Transactions is calculated, and the instrument is assigned to a specific quotation step – the minimum price change. These values are not fixed and will be updated once a year, after the last session in March.
Investment Certificates:
Quotation step: 0.01 PLN.
Futures Contracts on Stocks:
If the contract price does not exceed 200 units of currency, the quotation step is 0.01; after exceeding 200 units, the quotation step changes to 0.05.
Futures Contracts on the WIG20 Index:
Quotation step: 1 point.
Bonds:
Quotation step: 0.01 percentage points.
